The Moneyball Thesis in Action: GSA Ventures’ 2026 Roadmap

As we look ahead to the coming year, GSA Ventures is doubling down on what matters most: deploying capital into Ontario-based companies that are part of the Global Startups community, while expanding our global network to create more opportunities for those founders.

Our mission remains clear — to support pre-seed, traction-ready founders with smart capital, strong connections, and long-term ecosystem value.

What’s Coming Next Year

Next year is about more access, more learning, and more capital in motion for our community.

Planned initiatives include:

  • 4 Lunch & Learn investor roundtables
Curated, in-person conversations connecting founders, angels, and early-stage investors to share real insights, lessons learned, and practical perspectives.
  • Complementary virtual training sessions
Designed to support Global Startups founders with investment readiness, fundraising fundamentals, and early-stage execution.
  • 2 PitchDays (Spring & Fall)
Delivered in partnership with Global Startups, these PitchDays will spotlight Ontario-based startups from our community that are ready to engage with investors.
  • Participation in the first Pre-Seed Conference
As part of the Annual Global Startups Conference, GSA Ventures will support and participate in the inaugural Pre-Seed Summit — creating more visibility, education, and capital access for early-stage founders.
  • Monthly blogs and live-streamed conversations
Covering pre-seed investing, funding pathways in Canada, and global capital trends — with a focus on transparency and founder education.

Investing Locally, Connecting Globally

In the coming year, GSA Ventures will be actively putting more cheques to work, with a strong focus on Ontario-based companies within the Global Startups ecosystem.

At the same time, we will be visiting global innovation hubs such as Singapore, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi — not to shift focus, but to expand our international investor and partner network. These relationships help us:

  • Bring global perspectives back to Ontario founders
  • Create cross-border opportunities
  • Strengthen deal flow and follow-on capital access

Local investment, global connectivity.

Growing the Moneyball Thesis

Our Moneyball thesis continues to guide how we invest:
Backing founders who are often overlooked, yet show strong execution, resilience, and early traction.

As we grow, our commitment is to:

  • Invest thoughtfully in our community
  • Share insights openly
  • Build long-term value alongside founders and investors
